Brick Kiln

“Breaking the Chains of Bonded Labour for Christian Brick-Kiln Workers in Pakistan”
Joshua Ministries is laboring tirelessly at the brick kilns in rural areas, forming numerous families in need of our pastoral care. These families, downtrodden and struggling, face dire circumstances with insufficient earnings to support their large households. Children are deprived of education, trapped in a cycle of servitude passed down through generations. They reside in dismal conditions, housed in rudimentary quarters provided by the brick kiln owners, lacking basic facilities and perpetually bound to a life of slavery.

Recognizing their plight, we extend what little support we can offer, though it falls short of meeting their myriad needs. The burden of ever-increasing loans taken from the brick kiln owners weighs heavily on them, leaving them trapped in a cycle of debt. To alleviate their suffering, we propose a sustainable solution: supporting each family monthly.

This support would enable them to:
i. They can save something to repay their loan to the brick kiln owners.
ii. Provide decent clothing for their children.
iii. Enroll their children in school.
iv. Afford necessary medical care and quality food.

We firmly believe that these gifts will bring about transformative change in their lives. Beyond immediate needs, we recognize the importance of fostering long-term happiness and alleviating their burdens. Merely offering prayers and attending church fellowship is insufficient to bring them true joy. Our ultimate goal is to liberate them from their current predicament, providing them with their own homes, freeing them from bondage, and empowering them to start their own businesses.

Joshua Ministries is committed to planning for their long-term well-being, but success in this endeavor hinges upon your cooperation and practical financial support. We implore you to join us in prayer and action, remembering the biblical injunction to free our brothers from debt and to bear one another’s burdens. Together, let us demonstrate the love of Christ by alleviating the suffering of these vulnerable families and ushering in a future of hope and prosperity for them.

Thousands of Christian families are employed as brick kiln slave workers across more than 11,000 brick kiln factories in the province of Punjab, Pakistan. The majority of workers in these brick kiln factories belong to the Christian community. Consequently, the Christian community is denied basic rights and fundamental freedoms, enduring generations of enslavement. They have been slaves from generation to generation.

By rescuing these families from debt and giving them access to entrepreneurial
opportunities, we enable them to stand on their own two feet and lead dignified lives.

Support the freedom of those enslaved in the brick kilns of Pakistan by donating our mission.
